Toronto Raptors Bio
For those new to basketball betting though, we’ll start with a little bit about the Raptors.
The franchise was founded in 1995 as part of the expansion of the NBA into Canada, and for their first few seasons they struggled. A 21-61 win-loss record was recorded in their first year, and during the 1997-98 season they suffered a 17-game losing streak.
However, that wasn’t to last and the turn of the century welcomed success for the Raptors, making the play-offs for the very first time in 1999/2000.
They’ve been a regular on the play-offs ever since, building strong squads, alongside a few poor seasons, and since 2013 have been a real top side in the NBA, winning the Atlantic Division in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.
It was the 2018/19 season though which will go down in history, winning the Championship and also seeing Kawhi Leonard named as MVP in his first, and only, season with the side.
